Surfside Rooster

From the service to the food, this place is a hit! The restaurant was busy but that had no effect on the level of service and care you received. We were greeted and seated right away. The coffee is piping hot and a great breakfast roast. We tried the Churro Pancakes (a special of the week) that was to die for! The Cinnamon Roll came highly recommend, it’s almost like a Croissant in texture. My husband ordered the Stuffed French Toast with Nashville Hot Chicken, and I’m pretty sure that it was the best thing I’ve ever had to eat. I ordered the Chorizo Burrito which was good but the Nashville Hot Chicken atop of the Stuffed French Toast is simply the most decadent, delicious meal I’ve ever had. For a moment I thought I was in the south!10/10 we will be back!

The decor reminds me of my grandmas old kitchen, and so did the food. If I could eat here once I week i absolutely would.Everything looked and tasted like it was made from scratch. The potatoes were the perfect texture. The smoked salmon Benedict was probably the best I’ve ever had. Of two eggs I one was slightly over done and the other was perfectly runny. I would take it EXACTLY how it was 100 times again. It came on a croissant which was nice n crispy, and i tell you what I’d eat a bowl of that hollandaise. My partner got the fried chicken, i think it was called “ rooster steak “. It was great too.BONUS: Homey, and rustic. The coffee mugs are all different in the cutest way. The server was kind and attentive even though they were absolutely slammed. they provide hot sauce at every table no need to ask.Because it’s so good there are a few things you should be prepared for:• a pretty decent wait on a weekend morning (but no worries they have a large outdoor waiting area)•The only reason I didn’t give the atmosphere 5 stars is because the acoustics / echo in the main dining room make it extremely loud. If you are elderly, have ptsd, or autism, I’d recommend trying to come outside of average breakfast hours to avoid the large families with kids OR bring earplugs. Or maybe try being seated in the smaller dining area ! it’s worth it!• there isn’t a whole lot of parking in front of the restaurant ( though I got lucky and got a great spot) it fills up quickly. But it’s in a strip mall so there is more parking behind and around the building. Also the entrance/ exit in front of the restaurant is tight and risky, I recommend using the larger entrance behind the adjacent parking lot.

The"Rooster Steak" is the best breakfast I've had around the area here. Ticks all the boxes. Whenever I come here I can't pull myself away from ordering anything else.

We were so happy to find this place! The food was incredible, the service was quick and the price point was very affordable. You get a lot of food! The smoked gouda grits are amazing and the coffee was exceptionally delicious!

Excellent quality food. Huge portions.Apple french toast was excellent.Apples were slightly crunchy and surprisingly not too sweet. Everyone in my group was happy.

We had a BLAST!!! I loved every minute of our visit. Very welcoming, our server Angel was certainly one this morning! She took very good care of us. They have a full bar and they made me a Dirty Shirley Temple ;) . Now let’s get down to the food, i didn’t leave a crumb ! It was amazing everything was fresh tasted like home. I ordered the Salmon egg Benedict Trust me we will be back OC 2024

I swear that out of all of the restaurants that I’ve visited in the DMV, Surfside Rooster is one of the cutiest, quirkiest places to eat at for brunch. Plus, their breakfast dishes are delicious to eat, along with their coffee.At the time, I ordered a salmon benedict and some cheesy grits, both of which are good, by the way. Later, my boyfriend’s mother kindly gave me a buttermilk pancake to mop up the last of my brunch crumbs and sauces. If my dish came with grilled vegetables, then I’d say that I had a complete meal. Otherwise, everything that was ordered at the Surfside Rooster came out wonderful. I look forward to coming back here again soon, along with my boyfriend, Andy.Thank you, Andy, for finding this place for me and your mother! :D

Great choice for breakfast! Amazing service & delicious food! The portions are big so hubby and I shared the farmer's skillet & the cinnamon roll...both were delicious The teens had chocolate chip French toast & regular French toast, they said it was delicioso! Our server, Angel was very kind & helpful!
